My podiatrist noticed my 5th metarsal callous as a result of the shoe seam construction. Great price = $60.—12/10/07
I've run in many pairs of these without injury. —12/11/07
These are my favorite all around shoes but have found out recently they wear about the same as the 1120s. The 1120s cost only 2/3 as much. Haven't had the 1120s long enough to comment on how long they last compared to the2120s.—12/21/07
Have worn Asics since the 2030 and had no problems. With some other shoes, I had had some knee problems.—12/21/07
They feel slightly looser in the forefoot area. I suspect this contributed to the blisters during the initial break in period.—12/22/07
Been running in 2120, and earlier generations 2100, 2110, for several years. Previously ran in Asics Cumulus, and before that Brooks Adrenaline and NB 876. Being as these are very very popular running, I dont like that Asics, tweaks important features with successive generations. Important for me is the wide toebox, for some reason in the 2100 it was decided to go to a narrower toebox. Another is the forefoot support, one of the earlier releases had abysmal forefoot support, and would feel every little rock and pebble if running on anything other than smooth pavement. Albeit these are great running shoes. Dont ever suffer with sore knees, or PF, and other shoes had left me so previously. They are good with my style of running, for about 450miles, after which get that familiar dead feeling, where dont feel there is any support under my heels. A running shoe, should fit my foot, have good amount of space in the toebox, and provide a little bit of support on heels and forefoot. I dont ask for anything to make a fashion statement. The soles need to last for 500miles of pavement running. Please no gadgets, or patented support systems. I prefer a slip or combo lasted shoe, and needs to be flexible both longitudinally and in the middle. Weight not over 13oz. Keep it simple and I will be happy. —12/26/07
When I was looking for a replacement for my New Balance 991s, The GT-2120 was recommended to me by my local running store. I was pleased to find that these were available in a 15 B. An A or AA width would have been better, but B was better than nothing. They felt great when I first tried them on a very short run before purchase, but once I started wearing them on regular runs, even on 2 or 3 mile short runs, I started to notice a lot of discomfort during the run. —01/02/08
